1. What's a CokeTag?
A CokeTag is a fun, personal widget for packaging and sharing links to content across the Web.
2. How do I make a CokeTag?
It's easy: just click on "Add" in the upper right corner of the Facebook CokeTag page, and follow the instructions to create your own CokeTag. First, you use the CokeTag wizard-like editor to help you find the links to the content you want to share. Then you choose a skin from among several available styles. The CokeTag editor puts all the pieces together according to your choices and places the Tag on your Profile page for your friends to see. You'll be up and running in a few minutes!
3. Can I change my CokeTag?
You can edit the links and labels in your CokeTag at any time and as often as you like by clicking on "Edit Tag" right above the Tag on your Profile Page. You can even change the skin the same way -- whenever you like.
4. Can I send my CokeTag to my friends?
Sure, you can even share your CokeTag by attaching it to Facebook messages or Wall posts.
5. Can I find out if anyone looks at my CokeTag?
The application has a built-in click tracker that lets you know every time a friend looks at your tag or clicks a link. It even tells you specifically which link people click on so you can see which are the most popular. Everyone's total clicks — your "score" — are posted under their Tag so everyone can see how popular your Tag is.
6. What do I do with my CokeTag?
The CokeTag makes it easy and quick to promote yourself or something you care about. Link to your videos or blogs, favorite causes or people, your holiday plans, wish list or anything else on the web!
For example, you could use it to show your friends that you're an expert on a topic. Maybe you are a technology expert, or have collected a list of websites dedicated to the Klingon language. How about promoting your favorite charities or music? You can use it to share links that may be helpful to your friends and family such as driving directions to your house, your photo gallery, your blog, your basketball team's game schedule, your Amazon wish list, etc. Basically, use it to package and share links to whatever you want across the Web.
7. Is CokeTag a product of Coca-Cola?
Coca-Cola is offering you this product because they believe that connecting people and giving them a way to share what matters is one of the many things that helps define The Coke Side of Life. The CokeTag is based on a technology called PUP (Portable Universal Profile) developed by a company called Linkstorm. (http://linkstorms.com/pup/).
8. Who will be able to see my CokeTag?
First and foremost, your CokeTag is visible to visitors of your Profile Page. You can also send it to others by attaching it to a Facebook private message or Wall or a private message. When you write on a friend's Wall and attach your CokeTag there, anyone who can see your friend's Wall can also see your CokeTag. Your friends can also send your CokeTag to their friends.
9. Can people who aren't my friends use my CokeTag to see my Profile Page?
No. Only your Facebook friends can see your Profile Page unless your Profile is public.
10. Can I design my own CokeTag skin?
You can choose from various skins available via the CokeTag Editor on Facebook, where new skins are added frequently. Also, if you have a cool design idea of your own, please send them to us at
. If we like it, we'll make it available to the community and give you a design credit!
11. Do I have to stick with the links and categories offered to me when I first built my CokeTag?
We wanted to get you up and running quickly, so we suggested a bunch of categories and links for you. However, you can replace them with anything you want — just click on "Add a Category" in the CokeTag editor. Please just don't include anything obscene, hateful or otherwise inappropriate. Not only will that violate Facebook's Terms of Service (http://www.facebook.com/terms.php) or ours, but more important you'll be likely to lose your CokeTag! You can access the editor by clicking the editor link above your CokeTag on your profile page.
12. There isn't enough room for all the links I want on my CokeTag. Can I get more slots?
Right now you're limited to the number of slots currently available. But don't despair; our CokeTag-team is working hard to give you even more links and features. Stay tuned!
13. Can someone else post my CokeTag?
Yes. Your friends can attach it to their messages or wall posts.
14. How can I share my ideas on how to improve the CokeTag?
Easy. Just send an email to with your suggestions. And we want to hear from you because we're constantly improving the CokeTag.
15. Why can I attach my CokeTag to Facebook Wall messages and Facebook email messages but not to FunWalls and SuperWalls?
We built the CokeTag to work with Facebook's Wall and private messaging system. However, if you think it would be great to use CokeTag with FunWall, SuperWall and other Facebook applications, tell us! Just go to the discussion forum for CokeTag and tell us which other applications you'd like to attach your CokeTag to. We'll pass the message on to the companies that make those other applications!
16. Can I put my CokeTag on other websites than Facebook?
Not yet, but we're working getting CokeTag to work on Bebo, MySpace and OpenSocial sites soon.
17. How do I get rid of my CokeTag?
You can get rid of your CokeTag just like you remove other Facebook applications. Just locate your CokeTag on your Profile page, and click on the X icon in the upper right corner of your application window and follow the directions. Note that even if you remove your CokeTag application, it will still be visible in messages or Wall postings where you previously attached it.
18. What happens to the CokeTags I've shared when I make updates?
When you update the links in your CokeTag or change your CokeTag skin, the changes show up immediately in the CokeTag on your Profile Page. However, any CokeTag you previously attached to a Wall or Facebook message will look exactly it did when you posted it because a CokeTag doesn't change after it has been posted.
19. Can I get my CokeTag to automatically attach to every Facebook Wall or message I send?
Facebook rules require that you do this manually by clicking on the CokeTag icon at the bottom of your message composer window.
20. Can someone else edit my CokeTag?
No. Only you can edit your CokeTag when you're logged into Facebook.
21. Can I add icons and graphics to my Coke Tag?
